    Unhappy Suspension Helper Air Bags

Has anyone used anything like the link below.

To add better stability when towing heavy.

I'm looking to upgrade my rear suspension a little as when i'm towing my dump trailer at max load it bounces the truck around a lot if I hit bumps. done some research but suspension is far from my expertise.

Firestone and air lift bags are definitely my top two sellers.

Air lift is my first choice.

Have you sold any of the sumo springs? A lot of people pulling 5th wheels really love them?

I was just wondering if they work like some people say.

I’ve used trucks with air bags and know they work.

I just like the simplicity of not airing them up.

Had firestone airbags or timbrens on previous trucks but went with front and rear Sumos on a 17 3500 this time.
Took an 8500 mile test run to Alaska and the 500 miles (each way) of gravel on the Dempster to Tuktoyaktuk with an overhead camper(11,500#s) and the Sumo springs performed great. They greatly reduced body roll, pitching and diving on the frost heaves, and I'm sure they saved the stock suspension on hard hits. They are super simple to install and priced right.
Timbrens were much more harsh, especially empty.
The Firestone airbags can tune your stance but had more body roll.
    YMMV.

    @DDP

Curious why airlift your first choice? Care to explain?

On my wish list is air bags and daystar cradles from the information I have read to date.

Customer service is a big thing with me and i have had the best luck with air lift customer service. I have also seen air lift has a little better quality bag that withstands the elements better from what i have seen. Sometime it shows the opposite way but most of the time it's firestone who has more issues with dry rotting or leaks. I do prefer the internal joust of the air lift as well so you can run at 0 psi.

Just personal preference and experience is why i choose airlift. Nothing wrong with firestone by any means as they do make a great product but if it were me i would chose air lift.

    DDP Thanks for the feedback.

I was leaning away form the internal jouncer, but thought it was a novel idea/ product differentiator.

On airlift bags are the end caps metal or plastic?

I thought I read that they where plastics and probably would not be as compatible as other with the daystar cradles.

I do like the axle attachment method airlift uses since it does not extend below the axle.
