I have to thank @Polaraco for the tank, and I got the compressor from my fathers shop. all it was was hooking it up. I also had the thought of running a belt driven one off the motor with an electric clutch, but a 12V compressor from a camper worked for the price.

hmmm.... now your giving me ideas on how to set up on board air for alot cheaper than the "kits" available.... i even think i know where i an get a set of those tanks that comes as that little wheel-barrow type compressor for cheap.

depends on how you want to do it. I thought about one of them because it already has the BOV and the pressure switch.

would prob fit pretty good where the spare tire used to live...
I still have a spare tire there, although you do want to think about keeping dirt out of it. I put my compressor in the cab under the back seat, and put a sound deadening box over it, its quieter than the motor so I don't hear it.

the tank or tanks i think will work out there still, but on the compressor side, good point about the dirt and mud becoming a potential problem. that'll prob be remote mounted somewhere... under seat storage is a great idea, but wont it get too hot under there without much ventilation?
