    Need: Front License Plate Ideas

    Good evening.

My front plate got ripped off for the second time in recent washing.

I’m interested in aftermarket install ideas.

In my younger days, I would have never installed it, but I don’t enjoy giving people a reason to take my money. LOL

Anyway, let me know what you guys have found.

My truck had nothing but the two holes in the factory front bumper.

    - Ron

Following; I have been unable to find a contoured license plate bracket for the 2010-2018 RAM 2500/3500. The only idea that I can come up with is to attach a universal adapter plate higher up on the bumper using the two existing holes.

I had that same problem with my truck going thru car washes.

I purchased this license plate frame from Advance Auto Parts and never had another issue of my plate bending or ripping off.

I've shared a link to the following product detail page of Advance Auto Parts that I think would interest you!

I have a galvanized metal plate folded over on the top and bottom.

You slide your plate in under the folds so it's protected inside this metal plate.

It has four holes, and you bolt it onto your original location.

I've had this for years and take it when I get rid of a vehicle with it.

I'm not even sure where it originally came from.

    I'm doing research now.

    Found this

2010 Dodge 2500 SLT CCLB 4WD G56 Cummins 6.7 turbo diesel, 3.42 LSD. Add ons: Banks Monster Ram, Grid heater delete, Spyntec Free Spin Kit with Warn hubs (62672) Laramie Alloys (includes spare), "Powerwagon" Flares, Powerwagon bed decal (4X4 off road) OE Ram mudflaps, OE Slush Mats, OE Clearance Lamps, Geno's shift knob in black, 5" DPF back with muffler delete, spray in bedliner, OE brake controller, Durafit Seat Covers, Pro Tech Toolbox, Speed Turtle, Upfitter switches, Ham Radios, 8 Antennas, headache rack, emergency light bar,....

I’ll check to see what is available at the auto parts store.

I know I could solve the problem with heavy-duty mounting hardware, but I like seeing what the aftermarket offers.

I had a pretty neat front license plate mount on my Camaro SS that went well with the bumper's shape.

Might be a problem that needs to be solved $$$$.

OK, I snapped a picture of the frame I have to reinforce my front plate.

I have had this for years.

I have no idea where it came from, but I have had it forever.

It was a GM model, rear filler neck behind plate deal.

Back before, they banned fuel tanks in the rear.

Re: Need: Front License Plate Ideas

Well, friends, I know it's been a while.

    I've been navigating life, anyway.

If you're looking for ideas, I think I found a clean solution to my problem.

I purchased a cruiser accessories front license plate kit from Auto Zone.

It is essentially like an enclosed plastic case for the license plate, much like a phone case.

Instead of using the plastic square retainers with screws, I used some bolts, washers, nuts, and most importantly, some Loctite.

It's been about a week, and it still looks sharp.

I think it looks pretty good and preserves my bronze star plates.

I don't want to have to figure out how to replace them or let them get beat up by all the debris on the road.
