    Bad Timing - Revmax Tuning?

So, I just ordered a Revmax Billet valve body for my 68RFE.

My truck has DRD tuning, and as we are learning, they cannot sell me an upgraded tuning to cover the changes I need to install the Revmax valve body.

So, does anyone have experience with a pressure box they like or have any other ideas for increasing the transmission pressures to allow the use of the new valve body?

I have bad timing, and the whole thing sucks, but the new valve plate and deep pan are coming.

    Thanks,
    Eric

Maybe try to call Revmax and see if they will swap it for a tuneless valve body.

The sonnax line boosters are garbage.

I don’t know of any other “pressure box, ATS co-pilot, maybe?

I haven’t heard anything good about them either, though.

On the Revmax, there is a port you close off if you are running stock pressures.

So I can go that route.

I prefer a little more pressure, so I am considering a BD pressure controller that isn’t just an across-the-board increase but adjusts to the situation.

Why can't you get a re-tune from DRD?

OK, now I have read the EPA post. (Sucks)

    Well, this bursts my bubble.

I am getting ready to buy a valve body.

When I got my tunes for stock tranny also received tunes for the Revmax valve body.

I wonder if that tune is suitable for a DRT valve body.

If this is hijacking, I'll start another thread.

If the pressures the valve bodies can handle are similar, it should work fine.

The Tune is to increase line pressures under specific demands.

I'm sure glad I did my transmission six months ago and got my retune for the Billet VB then.

You can buy the tranny tune file from Dirty Diesel.

They offer CCS tunes for the MM3.

Not endorsing it; just saying it’s available.

I chose the BD diesel wiring harness module that boosts line pressure.

I got everything installed and performed the quick learn.

Now, I'm driving it, and it is performing well.

The higher-end harness adjusts the pressure based on demand instead of some that bump the pressure across the board.

The highest I’ve seen is about 192 psi, but I haven't been heavy-footed since I was in the initial learning part.

It seems to be a very workable option, and the transmission shifts are much better.

Did you use this with the stock valvebody or with an aftermarket one?
