Hey everyone, I got a DRD delete/tune about 2k miles ago.
I was towing 9,300 pounds and was around 18k gross weight on cruise control with 6th locked out on a flat freeway going 65 MHP, and the truck kicked off the cruise; CEL flashed, then it showed 5th and 6th locked out.
So pulled off the freeway, and I struggled to even get to the parking lot.
So far, we are 800 miles into our trip, pulling this same load.
I have pulled LOTS of grades (WY to CO to Ut to MT)
Long story short, I am dumb and cleared the CEL without taking a picture or writing it down, but it said something to the effect of "transmission solenoid."
After clearing the code, I let it idle for a few minutes as the trans reached 200 degrees.
Then we hit the road again, and I pulled the trailer another 80 miles with no problems.
Does anyone else have this happen?
Should I have a shop check it out, or was it likely a hiccup in the trans tuning on my new tune?
The truck seems fine, but we have another 300 miles to go next week with quite a few grades to pull, and I am worried I will get stranded in the middle of nowhere.
We are in Utah right now, and Randy's transmission is closed; so tempted to get a new trans, but 10k is a lot of dollar bills.
The truck has 66k miles and has been deleted and tuned for the last 2k miles.
I have 3k towing miles, with 900 being tuned/deleted.
