I am looking for some advice.
I have a 2014 RAM 2500, no emissions, stock tune, with 111k on the truck.
More of a daily driver, with occasional 9k RV short hauls.
About to do the first fluid change and have a new deep pan and thermal bypass, I ordered a Revmax Valve body and solenoid pack to improve the longevity of the 68RFE.
I haven't had any trans issues or codes; just trying to improve the stock trans. I was considering upping the line pressure for better shifting etc.
Based on my current mileage, I called Revmax for advice on whether to tune it.
They cannot provide advice over the phone, which is understandable; they did say to inspect the pan for any clutch breakdown, etc.; if there is any, they don't even recommend installing the Valve Body.
So now I'm curious about what to do.
I'm not trying to add power; I want to improve the drive/shift experience and longevity of the stock trans.
I'll drop the pan and inspect for any damage.
Any advice on what exactly I should be looking for?
Excess gray matter, mushroom on the mag plug, etc.?
If all looks good, should I proceed with the VB upgrade/ line pressure increase?
I know a lot of questions with general context; I assume someone has been in this situation. Thanks!
