OK, I dont never hear of it on these light-duty truck forms, but I know they make an air shut-off for emergencies; anyone ever has a runaway? (Youtube diesel runaways) I see lots of passenger vehicles in Europe etc.

Now I have a throttling-type valve in my air inlet, but it's used to create a vacuum for EGR operation; this could close off my inlet air, but is it strong enough under a complete runaway scenario? Does it default to closed when I shut the key off?

I know if I was hot-rodding it, be a bigger deal, but I am just curious; I don't hear anything about them here, which is good—just an inquiring mind.

(I'm 100% stock).
