My 17' still has factory batteries.
Not having any issues, but a thought occurred.
When removing both for a swap to new, does anything besides the radio lose memory or need reprogrammed MM3 to have memory?
Thanks.

If you remove one at a time and replace it, you shouldn't lose any memory.

Well, that's pretty simple, I suppose, LOL.
Long day brain not working fast enough (time change excuse maybe).
Thanks
I had wondered the same thing, so I was careful only to disconnect one battery at a time, thus maintaining the voltage.
Then I read that when replacing batteries, disconnect them to allow the Intelligent Battery Sensor to reset and adapt to the new batteries.
Now I do disconnect both batteries and have not needed to reprogram anything.
I don’t know if the radio loses memory as I don’t use the presets.
I do know my radio NAV information remains in my memory.

Well, shoot.

Thanks for that info, AK Bob.
Attached is where I read about the Intelligent Battery Sensor from Mopar Tech Authority.

When I replaced my starter, both batteries were disconnected (for obvious safety reasons) and reconnected.
The only thing lost was the clock setting.
Radio presets were fine, and the tune was maintained.
