Guess I could use some stainless clamps.
The OEM has a locater hole, slot in the clamp, and rubber nub on boot.
I'd have to cut the nubs off. No big deal but they sure hold the clamp nicely in place.
Probably for the assembly line.

By the way OEM clamps are some form of stainless based on magnet test.

Let us know what you end up with.
I assume the Airraid clamps are 304 stainless.
When I got my coolant to reroute for my EGR, it came with cheap clamps, so I went to Lowe’s and got Ideal-Tridon 304SS clamps.
I may pre-emptively buy new clamps and cut the nubs off like you mentioned, even though I have zero issues with corrosion since I am in the South, and I removed all the bolts on my factory exhaust without a drop of penetrating fluid or lubricant
I got the smaller oem clamp from a local dealer for $5.00.
I couldn't believe they had it.
No part# lookup; he just pulled it out of a drawer. It's on the turbo side of the boot.
The air cleaner tube side or Airaid side of the boot is the same as the oem tube to air cleaner cover, so I reused that one.
No rust on it.
Soaked them down with Boshield T9.

The lamps that come with Airaiareis are about the same magnetically but have steel hex screws.
OEM has stainless screws.

I also found the better clamps at Lowes, but I like the nubs and locater slots.
I can see the rusted clamps locations with the Airaid tube in.
I'll squirt some T9 on them each oil change.
Oh, yea, this was a Southern truck.
Been in MI for three winters.
Low mileage, though.
Currently 52K.

One winter is probably all it took, LOL.
I'll put some corrosion preventative on my factory clamps even though I've never seen a winter.
At this point, you'll probably beat me on the install, LOL.
Oh it's already on there!!!

Ft. Benning "GA" is my worst nightmare.
Not even sure how anything lives with the humidity there, LOL.
Great times, however.

If anything, it’s a less intrusive piece with a smoother flow of air.
Also, time to clean my AFE drop-in - 20k miles on it - not bad!
GDP intake horn is going on to complete my trifecta with the grid delete and the Mega Flo TVM I already have installed.
