I just wrapped up my extended warranty period, and it's time to get digging into the truck.

As an aside; here are all of the things which I had replaced during the extended period (I think I paid just over $2k for it when I bought the truck:

  • 8 Ball Joints
  • 2 Tie Rods
  • 3 Brake Calipers
  • 2 Wheel Hubs
  • Water Pump (before the recall)
  • Coolant Sensor level x2
  • Alternator
  • Heater Core

So certainly it was worth the cost.

Unfortunately, I have some mechanical issues to address before getting to the fun stuff:

  • Believe the other wheel hub has now given up the ghost. I'm going to replace the U-joint while I'm there
  • Based on how my tires look, the ball joints, at least on one side, are crap. Bought a set of EMF's all around.
  • My clutch has started to slip when pulling a trailer (11k lbs or so). Going to order up an SB single disk.

Fun stuff:
  • Have a delete kit, S&B intake, Banks Airhorn, and 5" FloPro with twister resonator sitting in the garage
  • Ordered up an MM3 from DRD - will be here end of the week

Hoping to get the front-end issues resolved this week.

Lots of swearing coming, but the job itself seems fairly straight forward.

Thinking that I'll remove the airbox, EGR, and exhaust next - giving me a little more space to deal with the clutch.

After I get that out of the way, I'll put in the new exhaust, finish the delete kit, etc.

Stay tuned...
