    Stock Shocks VS Aftermarket

I’m due for a shock change on my 2500 RAM.

I was thinking of just going with stock replacements but was wondering if anyone recommends going with an aftermarket like rancho bilstein etc.

I believe most would recommend the Bilstein 4600’s or 5100’s. @Dude’s Diesel Performance can give you a price quote. @DDP

I've had both the bilstein 4600 and 5100.

If you're towing/hauling or off roading much get the 5100s.

If you're more on the street, get the 4600's.

    The 4600s ride smoother.

From what I can tell, it looks like I would need to install a 2” leveling kit if I want to install the 5100 shocks up front correct?

    Anyone?
@DDP Does Bilstein make a front shock in the 5100 series that will fit without the two inch leveling lift? Also could you answer the other question below from @watersupply189 . Thanks for your help.

I went with Monroe Reflex on my 3500, until I firm my path with lift or leveling.

    Autozone and like 60 per.

Lifetime warranty and have have had them on my half ton for 306K and counting, two have went south and just returned them to non purchased location (Autozone, nonetheless) and in and out with a new ones and no hassle.

    Great luck Sir!
