    Trickle Charger Make/Model

After searching around I decided that this thread may be helpful to me and others.

I fell victim to dead batteries since my truck hasn't been started in over a month(time slipped away from me).

In my search people talk about their chargers but most don't mention what make/model of charger they use.

I'd personally like a smart trickle charger plugged in a surge protector that can be left hooked to the truck indefinitely until I need it.

So if you could post the make/model/specs of which one you're using I think it'd help me and others with deciding what route to go.

    Thanks in advance.

This is the Noco I have mounted to the wall in front of my parked 6.7L in the garage. (I posted pics in the other thread)

Via - 2 surge protectors. I do believe Noco has replaced the G750 with a newer version - (Genius 1) - Might upgrade next winter.

I have had the G750 in service for about 2 years.

Amazon - sells a ton of the Noco products.

I Also have a set of noco quick connections permanently mounted on both batteries - even though the drivers side is in parallel with the passenger side.

I just plug in to the drivers side quick connect & the G750 slowly chargers both batteries in sequence.

    Connecting takes about 2 min.

During the winter months - if the temps are going to be predicted in the teens all week or longer - I will connect the G750 before I go to bed & by morning both batteries are pretty much charged to capacity.

I leave the house out in the bitter cold with 2 healthy charged batteries...

If the JUDGE is going to be parked in the garage for more then 2 days without being drove - I will connect the G750 & let it run its course.

Hopefully by doing this routine regiment - I can get 6-8 years of Service Life from these OEM batteries.

Once again: I apologize for rambling.

    Yes Sir!

Note: Bob has a kewl A$$ set up.

Those whom have trucks that aren't blessed with being parked inside most of time during those cold winter months - should follow his set up.

These set ups are really not that expensive & could very possibly keep you & your family from being standed.

Batteries these days are working triple duty & don't seem to like it...

Yes I do like his setup, very nice! I'm going with the Genius 2 like his and doing the quick connects like yours with an extension cable so I can run it into the cab where it'll be paired with a quality surge protector.

    Thanks for the links.

    Nice setup.

I've been using battery Tender on my motorcycle with fast disconnect plug.

My Truck only goes to the market once a week or out to dinner and pulling our Toy hauler camping.

Now if I could just stop the friggin MICE from getting in the motor compartment.

They like to eat my Battery blanket.

I just put Dryer sheets around the battery so far so good one week now.

I was just checking out this thread again and was wondering how the battery tender compares to the noco.

I’ve used the tenders for years and just wondering the noco is a healthier fit for our batteries.

Growing up we used battery tenders on our 4wheelers and it seemed like we'd have to replace them every few years. I'm here to tell you that the two Noco Genius2 that I purchased have done awesome so far!!! The quick connects are great!. Both of my batteries were dead(key fob wouldn't unlock doors and I had no lights whatsoever) and with a Genius2 hooked to each battery, both were fully charged in 48 hours! If you've got the extra money, I'd hands down get the Noco Genius2 over the Tender brand but that's only my opinion.
