So I’ve got a 2014 3500 SRW on a 3” lift with 37s and a 68RFE transmission.

I currently have 77k miles, stock motor.

I mostly know the pros to running sans EGR, DPF, SCR, and DEF: power, efficiency, longevity.

I’m more interested in the cons or downsides.

I’m not looking to make big power, or roll coal. I’m looking to extend the life of the engine, it’s components, and increase fuel economy.

If that means going to a 180hp tune, fine, but what do I need to worry about? Injectors, head gasket, transmission, etc? Would a stock or 30-60hp tune be a safer bet? Teach me oh wise ones.

Any help or insight is as always greatly appreciated.
