So, I have been trying to decide on a fuel filter setup for my 2012 CC 2500. I would like to have the piece of mind that comes from additional filtration, but the options are starting to get to me and I have seen several reviews but nothing addressing my specific question. So...
Option 1-Single Underhood filter to replace stock style and run a Donaldson 3micron filter/water separator style filter. This is probably the cheapest option but I would loose the fuel heater (I live in southern Indiana and we do get cold on occasion
Option 2-Single under cab filter base with Cat Filter and leave stock Nanonet filter under hood. This means slightly more expensive filter changes since I will have to replace both filters.
Option 3-Dual under cab filter base with Cat Filter/Baldwin or Donaldson water separator and still maintain the under hood filter as well.
The truck runs a 60hp tune but is otherwise stock with 100,000 miles, my main objective is longevity.

Thanks for your opinions.
