    Towing a trailer

So I'm gunna pull a 24ft dual axle enclosed. Should I still pull it with overdrive off? Cuz I know with everything else you usually should but I didn't know If pullin with a diesel is different. My tranny is poop enough. Figured I'd double check

I only turn the OD off when pulling a grade it helps keep the eggs down and with my lock up switch it won't down shift.

That's how I have always pulled with mine and never had a problem. Maybe somebody else will chime in with a response.

I did the same thing. I left OD on till it started to lug then i turned OD off then drove. Pulling a trailer at 65 on the highway no issues. I didnt' want to scream at 3k driving 60 LOL

Pulled great. I only pulled it unloaded. When it would stay in high gear it was awesome but it slips out. And then it sucks. Only happens up hills and ****. Idk if my tranny fluid needs changed or if I need this wire they sell for 12v's. it's specifically for them. It's 20$ an it says it stops the slipping of high gear. So I'm gunna try that

If you had the lock up switch on it shouldn't have down shifted

I do have a LOL up switch. But if I'm doing 30mph if I lock it up won't it bog down? OR. When I turn overdrive OFF and use the lock up, is that a different gear then when overdrive is on and I lock it up? Because is I lock it at 30mph when overdrive is on it rolls coal like no other. Isn't over drive an locking it up the same thing? If they are the same why bother turning OD off?
