    Re: So it begins!

Yelp, on my way to grab my front shocks today I thought I heard a bird chirping under my truck.

Got back to work and lifted the front end and low and behold!..... Another bad wheel bearing.

Should have my replacement on Saturday, so chalk that up on my list of things to do.

I should've just not been stupid and bought the manual conversion hubs.

Gonna be saving over the next few months with that Post 9/11 housing allowance and buy the conversion from therammaninc.

Game plan is still to avoid "corona" and throw everything on starting Saturday.

Time to get this started before my track bar and wheel bearing come in.

Progress this far, pitman arm wore me slap out, heat, hammers, and a die grinder didn't help much.

Got it off the pump, gotta buy a new tie rod end because I'm done fooling with it.

Taking a little break now, I didn't take off the driveshaft, those star key bolts are my favorite things on Earth to strip.

So I'm leaving it be if I pull it, it's because the angle was too much and I'll have to index or drop.

We'll see here soon after I eat.

Well this is where it's at. Arms are on, shocks and springs are in, and I'm dead tired. Tomorrow morning I'll be picking up my tie rod end at the pitman arm, throwing on the Carli track bar, and reversing the removal process on everything. Then it's rear block time. Depending on fires and how long all that takes me I might tackle the wheel bearing.

I'm guessing kids being out of school they've been lighting all the danged woods up. So fingers crossed for a quiet-ish day tomorrow so I can get this wrapped up.

    Looking good so far!!

Hopefully it will rain to suppress those wild land fires!

    Finally done!

    Looks phenomenal.

I don't have it in me to change that bearing out.

I'm pooped, so I'm waving the white flag and will have to bring it to a shop to do it.

35s don't look half bad on it though!

Thanks man, it was pain from start to finish it seemed like, but I found a bunch of stuff that needed to be replaced while I was getting everything apart. So that was a plus. Time for an alignment and have that wheel bearing replaced tomorrow and I can drive it without being super nervous. Haha. Sits great though.
