Randy’s transmission is what I’d pick.

They seem to have the best all around setup for heavy towing and a daily driver at 5-600 hp.

Several guys on here run DRD tuning and Ray recommends RevMax for compatibility with his files.

He can tune any trans but RevMax is his preference and you don’t really hear any horror stories about them.

If I had an automatic my choices would be RevMax, Suncoast, Randy's in that order.

RevMax is picky about what tuning you have and your tire size versus gearing (tire sizes over 35" require documentation of proper gear change) and I don't blame them.

RevMax is made and assembled in the USA and the feedback/reviews speak for themselves.

    Just my .02.

It's a BD ultra low, they say it's aprox 600-800 rpm tighter than stock, I see alot of slow back roads in 2nd and 1k rpm drop compared to stock, and ALOT lower trans temps!

At idle I can feel it pushing, but still stops fine.

Pulling away from a light it's almost like letting a clutch out when you let off the brake pedal.

Even on a hill it starts to go.

If you want one, call Chris up at BD Diesel a call , tell him Gus @ Yukon sent you.

I got the thermal bypass from Revmax.

My trans runs the exact same temp as a Duramax Allison trans.

Towing a 28 foot car hauler with snowmobiles at 80mph both of our trucks were right at the 110 degree trans temp.

Outside temp was between 15 and 25 degrees.
