Hello! Was looking for a forum that was similar to the Jeep Wrangler community forums (friendly, informative, well organized, etc) and it appears I found it!
My story... Snow was coming down hard, whiteout conditions while climbing Vail pass towards Denver, pulling a Trailmanor camper behind my 2013 Chevy Avalanche, while my wife was following close behind towing our side-by-side. We were going no faster than 20mph, barely able to tell where the road was, where she shared that she can only see my taillights and nothing else. Over one hour of this 7 hour journey heading home from Moab, I had time to myself to think of a better way for our family to go camping!
Within two weeks sold my truck and my camper, got this new 2018 Ram Longhorn 6.7 Diesel and a 37’ toyhauler. This thing pulls!! Out camping right now as a matter of fact.
Always heard great things about diesels, so I figured it was time to go that route, and of course the Cummins was the way to go. The Ram interior made it a slam dunk.
Learning about this DEF crap has been something, damn eee pee ehh! Need to see what my options are in Colorado to delete.
Looking forward to participating and learning from all of you as I build this truck, so thanks for establishing a great community!
