    Too Many Tuners!!!!!!!

New to the forum and only have had my Cummins for a year now. I held off on tuning it because I bought it with 38k miles and I wasn't sure the "history" of the drivetrain and did not want to void my power train warranty.

    What I have....
2014 SB CC Bighorn 6" BDS with 37/13.50/17

    What I want....

A bad *** RELIABLE daily driver that can smoke alot of cars from light to light. ( not wanting to roll coal on Prius's )

Pretty sure what I am looking at is a 5" TB with a resonator , EGR delete and a MM3 tuner with tune levels up to 200 and trans tunes as well.

I bought a CTS2 and use it as only a monitor. I bought it because I was told I would need it to unlock the ECU, now I am reading that the MM3 can do it as well.

I would also need the tuner to adjust tire diameter and tpms values, I rented the equipment from a fellow member on another site and changed and adjusted my values, but my last trip to the dealer flashed or reset my BCM and everything is back to stock so I have a tpms error and my speedo is off by about 5-7 mph

So far I have spoke to RSD and AD and they both ansewed my questions but am looking for other opinions based on real life experience.

I will do the delete and tune myself that is not a issue.

Please let the comments and opinions begin....

One last thing. What is the " safe tune (HP) for a stock daily driver? 120-130..

    Thanks bothers.

    Welcome!!
When it comes to tuning you really want to check out Double R Diesel. He does custom tuning on the MM3 and his tunes and customer service are second to none.

I run his 90hp tune as my daily but also bump it up to 120 tune when I want to have a little fun. Either way the truck hauls ***. Best part is I get no smoke until I get boost over 30psi. I'd go higher but I'm not finished saving for a new RevMax yet.

Welcome to the forum! A lot of folks here run the MM3 and Double R Diesel tuning, myself included. The MM3 will do all the things you mentioned, TPMS, speedo, engine monitoring and custom tunes. DRD has proven, clean and reliable tuning.

    Re: Too Many Tuners!!!!!!!

I have the MM3 with hp increases of 30hp up to 200hp. I keep mine on the lowest (30hp) setting for regular driving but have the ability to shift on the fly (SOFT) to a higher setting at any time. I haven't installed any high performance parts like extra strong head studs, etc. so I don't go above 120hp because that's what's recommended by most Cummins mechanics according to my research. I have the Flo-Pro 5" turbo back exhaust, EGR and throttle valve delete and S&B cold air intake. Ray from DRD is on here and is a really knowledgeable person when it comes to tuning and what's available. He has tons of videos that will walk you through the process. I believe the TPMS is a fairly new feature of the MM3 and is part of his tuning. Good luck and welcome to the forum.

Welcome friend!! I agree with all the others to check with Ray at DRD! Best in the business hands down and his customer service before, during and after is the BEST I’ve ever experienced!!
I run the 30HP for normal driving. I won’t go above 90hp until I upgrade my clutch and head studs. I have the full delete MM3 with the race pipe 4”.
