    MM3 Tuner “whining”

Hey guys just got my mm3 with the full tune package from DRD today and installed it everything is working great except my lope tune doesn’t work and when I accelerate hard my tuner makes a whining noise almost like it is winding up. Is this normal and am I over thinking it? Any thoughts? As far as the lope I just planned to contact DRD I’m sure they will help they have pretty awesome service

My MM3 makes no sounds at all. Is it possible that you are hitting an alarm threshold for boost or EGTs and that is the sound you are hearing?

It isn’t an alarm I already tried turning all sounds off on the settings and it still does it, it just sounds like when I accelerate it is getting more power and starts making the noise and gets more high pitched as the accelerator gets pressed harder

For the heck of it, try unplugging the obd2 for a minute and reboot it. It's worth a shot. Actually, try driving with it unplugged and make absolute sure the noise is coming from the MM3. Not saying you're hearing is off... just never heard of this before.

That is what I planned on doing, it won’t hurt anything right? I just wanted to make absolute sure it was the screen

No problem at all. Once the tune is loaded you don't need to be plugged in to the ODB port to keep running

Did you delete egr hard parts, or install aftermarket intake? Sounds like you're hearing a boost leak, or a leak where you possibly blocked egr.
