HELP!! Should I trade my stang for a cummins

Okay. Serious question. Should I trade my 2000 mustang gt 5 speed. Newer engine. No rust. NO PROBLEMS. For a 94 single cab long bed 3/4 ton cummins. Has some rust. And he said it has a miss at about 1200 rpms but goes away after. Said its a lift problem. He'll give me his cummins and 1000$. I'll post up some pics after i get home from this restaurant. Opinions. I need some help. I don't want anything that I really need to put money into. But... I mean this guy SERIOUSLY wants to give me his cummins and let's get real... I've been trying to get one for the LONGEST TIME. Should I wait or jump on this. Maybe ask for more money

Idk what the trucks worth. But with my car having an r title it loses value:/ the cheapest one on there is like 6k. And Idk what I'd even have to replace after that. I only paid 4 for my car and I'd never be able to get 2k while paying for school

Not sayin the guy is shady or anything but if he is really tryin to off load the truck and it misses at a certain rpm sounds like he has been dealin with it and couldnt find it. I havent heard of a lift being a problem only at certain rpm and goin away when the rpms go up. Is it moded or stock with just the gauges?

Well my older friend who's pretty wise thinks if it's missing at 1200 and is fine after thinks it's the injection pump or pump timing
