    Plug in manifold

Well driving to work this morning and I heard an exhaust leak in my 17 3500. Looked at the v- band clamp it wasn’t leaking but I could see an exhaust leak. I thought it might be the exhaust brake tube pulled the fender well and immediately saw a tapped hole in the manifold where a plug was missing. Any idea what’s suppose to be there it’s about right in the middle.

That's where the factory exhaust back pressure sensor was. If the egr was deleted, that hole is plugged with a brake style plug on the 13-17 models. Run to the auto parts store and find a brake style flare plug to plug the hole. Sorry I don't know the exact size.

Thanks for the quick response. The egr is deleted was that suppose to get plugged then? And can I plug it with a 1/8” not pipe plug?

The exhaust pressure could have stayed but if it is gone, obviously you need a plug there. That particular factory tapped hole is not a pipe thread, it is a brake style connection.

Thanks again. I deleted the truck back in June. I used a sinister delete kit fro DRD. I did not remove it. It came out this morning some how. Do I need this, I’m guessing no since you said some kits delete it. And can I drive the truck to the parts store or not.
