Pondering trading my 68RFE for a G56 truck

Love my auto, but i am really starting to miss the 6 spd days. as far as cost and repair in the long run, the G56 seems to be the going thing, expecially when you have the itch to mod. Not sure if theres a market for people looking to go from G56 to auto LOL.....

There is definitely a lot of people out there that would love to switch from a manual to a auto. Sometimes finding them is hard. What is even harder is finding someone that is close to do the swap. I have thought about this many times myself!

The 48 happens to be a good trans. It just doesn't have enough gears

True but with bigger power it's more drivable and the driver can actually tell when it shifts. A lot of people are doing this swap and liking it way better than the 68.

I agree. I'd love to have a manual. But at my age and @AnOldBiker age, our old bones don't like it. That and I live in suburban NJ with a light at every other corner and a Honda with a big muffler who thinks he's tougher than your Ram. LOL
