Well I had about enough of the center console's chrome bezel blinding me everyday and decided to do something about it.......
1st step was to remove the chrome bezel, it was very easy using a credit card- go around the outside of of the bezel and slide the card in, when slide the card back and forth you will feel the tab that secures it just press the card into the tabs and pull up on the bezel, you may need to make a couple rounds as there is about 9 of these tabs.
2nd is to use some alcohol and clean the bezel very well.
3rd Since its chrome I used a self etching primer (found at an auto parts store) to give the following coats of paint something to stick to a few thin coats is all that's needed.
4th I used a colored primer (found at Walmart or home depot) to top coat the etching primer.
5th is the color matching paint for the seats and trim I have (found Walmart) I also found a dead match to the light tan color but think the darker color looked better in this spot.
6th the color match paint only came in satin and that was just a lil to shiny to match the interior so a coat of flat clear (Walmart) was dusted on top to bring it to a nice even flat finish.
I'm absolutely thrilled with the results and it looks like factory. This method will work for other interior chrome, but the console bezel is the only thing that was blinding me constantly
