Not to sure we about the egr in 2020 but mine fell off a couple of weeks ago if yall see it and the cooler please let me know if they are ok. There's an empty space in my shed next to the DPF and scr if they decide to return...........
Mine too! I haven't seen a recall yet to fix the issue. One thing I did do to prevent DIC error messages or god forbid corrosion of the parts in the DEF tank, was did a 50/50 mix of Prestone and Water so as to create a shield for the pump and all the components should the time ever arise I sell the truck and those parts find a way back on the truck. Tank reads full and zero error messages in 5 months.
sitting at the dealer now with a "service DEF system see dealer" problem. on the way the countdown timer had started. hope it doesn't take all day and my trust in this emissions stuff is shot ,what if i was pulling my T.T. out in the middle of nowhere id be screwed.
It's not really the def that's the problem. It's the egr and DPF. My work truck is a 2015 Peterbilt 389 with a cummins. For the last 6 months my boss has thrown thousands of dollars into this truck trying to fix issues with the DPF. Now hes about to do the world's most expensive oil change in Hope's of fixing an issue known as carbon packing. This special oil cost something like $75 a gallon. Truck holds 13.5 gallons. That's gonna be over $1000 just for the oil and to 1st fill. That doesn't include the extra oil he has to buy since my truck goes through a gallon a week. This carbon packing is happening cause of the egr throwing all that soot back into the engine and because of rings sitting to low on the pistons giving that soot a place to pack in. All of these issues have made me realize I need to delete my personal vehicle

Sure maybe around town with no load on the truck. Try pulling a 14K fifth wheel, I would add 2 1/2 gallons of DEF every day (500 miles).

Seems like same idea but making it integral so you'd have to have a whole new turbo and everything to get rid of it.
oooofff this looks disastrous.
Anyone thinking of getting a RAM/CUMMINS, best get a 2019 ! Pull that trigger!
