    DOT inspection

Has anyone got pulled over and inspected for Deletion of EGR/DEF systems? I want to delete my 6.7 but don't want to get red tagged for it.

I've heard in Cali that they can tow your truck. But I'd assume that is based on a couple of factors. One being I'm sure you have to reside there. 2 being getting caught. Haha

When in drought, check you states website of the rules ...

But most times you need to get their attention first .. like acting like a fool.
I've only seen them pull over big rigs for full inspection.

Of course there's always a chance but if you run efficient tuning to keep smoke to a minimum they'd have no reason to be snooping around.

Mine hasn't been deleted. I'm waiting until my warranty to expire. My friend knows someone who got inspected and red tagged due his 3500 being deleted.

I'd say that the majority of the folks here that have deleted live in areas where emissions rules are loosely enforced or are only checked every year or 2 by formal inspection process.

It sounds like you may live in an area where emissions is more strictly enforced. It would be helpful to get the whole story from you buddy's friend.

Something you can consider is tuning that disables the EGR only. This disables the worst component of the newer emissions systems but allows you to keep all the hard parts installed in case you get tagged for a roadside visual inspection. @F350Fummins has been running tuning for a while now and seems really happy with it.

Yeah OK I got that. The majority are deleted. The exception is company owned trucks.

BTW? Commercial vehicles are more prone to road side inspection than private. But I have seen it happen as mention with wise guys.
