    Painting grill?

    Looking into painting my grill...is it best to strip off the fake chrome and clean surface then paint or plastidip? Just curious based on yalls experiences

    Search for "Brent's 2017 limited build" he painted all the chrome on his truck and stated what he did.

    Other than the obvious model change the painting process should be the same and correct.

    You have to strip it and rubb the parts. If you don't your new paint will start to slip here and there. You can use plastidip but i prefer paint. Plastidip is more of a temporary product. My opinion

    Striping the chrome would be best, but I have not been able to figure out how to do it in my garage. Painting chrome is tough, I am not sure I have it figured out and have failed previously. Hopefully this time it will work, use my method at your own risk!!

    The chrome is just plastic. So if you sand it well. There won't be a problem. I have done it many time
