Tried the Dr color chip today's. Some of the chips were pretty deep. Took a but more elbow grease than the instructions say, but it didn't turn out too bad. I'll need to do a second application though.

Man!!! That is a huge improvement. How well does it color match with the rest of the truck?

Color matches well. Just don't want to look too close. I have some deep scratches and rock chips to fill. Like I stated, I'll have to do another application.

I hope you sanded that first

Damage that bad needs to be wet sanded with 220 then 600. An etching primer would be the best first. Wet sand again and paint. Of course you need to be oil free and work clean.

There is a glazing compound you can use. Quick sand, apply a thin coat. Then wet sand with 600. It sounds like allot of work, it really doesn't take that long. When done, you can spray chip guard over it to reduce further damage

Didn't do any of that. Kind of cleaned up some of the rust. This isn't a permanent repair, just a bandaid until I get it repainted.
