In post 94 you stated that you spliced into the factory door speakers. This could be your problem if your door speakers are trying to play signals it's receiving from two independent sources.

Perfect, now I only have a 3rd gen so I don't know how much relates over, but if you are putting 14vts to an amp, and it's getting @ least 1.5 volts of input from a nice non clipped sine wave signal input, then there is no reason why the amp won't boost that signal unless your truck like mine has split signals to where only the bass signal is being sent thru the rear doors, the front oem speaker wires are more full range, or if the sub just sounds crappy. Like the guys tell me.. you have to be more specific. Now what's broke?

Check to see if there is a high/low switch for the input on the amp.

Amp has hp/ap/lp. I have it set on hp, still sounds like crap. Suns aren't even hooked up yet, I can't get the distortion out.....

Friggin weird man. New speakers and new amps and yet distortion when you get them all hooked up. We got to be missing something easy. No reason for both amps to sound like crap....

I'm going to go to Best Buy and buy a set a kicker's that can take the power not saying it's the best speaker Choice but it'll sure give me an answer

Is anyone with a 16 or newer having issues. The guy at the one audio shop was telling me that he's had a few people with newer Chrysler vehicles and having the same issue with distortion.....
