Not bad for the tranny as far as I know...just obnoxious.

Never ending project. Always adding something...
What should I expect to pay for a Double R Diesel MM3 tuner?

A tuned G56 is a whole new animal. That choked feeling you’re getting is gone, at least with the DRD tune. Mine has been done for over a year now and the stock clutch is still fine. I don't tow or romp on it and I keep the tune on the lowest setting. I would go with a resonator rather than a muffler at first. I went straight pipe for a while and added a FLO~PRO twister recently to kill the drone and it quieted down the exhaust a bit. You can always add a muffler if the resonator isn't quiet enough. You’ll likely want to add a resonator either way to kill the drone.

There is no reason to go with a dual disc clutch, unless you plan on getting crazy.
There are plenty of high quality single disc clutches that maintain good road manners. Valair, SouthBend and Phoenix Friction all have quality since disc kits.
I started overfilling the G56 many years ago, and also add 1 quart of Lucas full synthetic oil stabilizer.
So that is 7 quarts total your putting in when it's all said and done. Use the factory spec ATF+4.
Others run 50W semi-truck trans oil like you see in the Eaton's and Spicer's.
Works well, would do it if I didn't live on the coldest place on God's earth.
