I have a stainless 5" with a resonator and there is a low drone when getting on the go pedal. But if your not going for a high horse power setup, stay with the 4" and just work on the muffler and such. I got my set up because it was cost and a 6 pack with my son-in-laws friend at the muffler shop. If not for that, I'd whould just have put on a resonator instead.

So consider that your end gold is and work from there. Your better off cost wise in the long run.
It's all good bro no harm no foul sooner or later we all get old good Lord willing

I love it loud. Louder the better. Just the drone in cab can be annoying pulling hills. I love the deep tone I hear with 5". Just don't want it silent outside. But quieter in cab. Thanks everyone for your replies

Only way to ensure quieter cab is pull interior and install deadener

Not that bad. Just unbolting seats and plate on doors so the carpet comes out. Nothing holding it down
Alone in a crew cab including installation and putting back together is about a half or days work. Depending on what interior you have. Center console in some trucks can be more of a pain to remove. Bench seats no issue at all

It's really not that much work to make a huge improvement. I have a thread on here detailing what I did on my truck.

Well I couldn't take it anymore, I ordered the 5" with muffler and a tip. It comes in on Tuesday. Pretty excited about it.
