I know more about the 5r110 and considered seeing if anyone had made a kit to swap it in. The newer 6r140 but don't know enough about it
The 5r would be great but don't know if anyone had made a kit at all. I'll talk to a few places still about options

The Allison even in stock form can handle more than most built 68's

A built Allison is nearly bulletproof and will take more power than I'll put to it. I'm wanting the towing capacity and shifting

The only hurdle will be tuning since the 09 TCM is built into the ECM/PCM unlike 10+ that have separate modules

Will do. Should hear back in the next couple days from people about my options and costs
I hate Duramax but the Allison is a great transmission. If I can figure something out for the 5r or 6r I'd like that

The 5r can handle a bit more but 6r would give me the extra gearing

Since it's a DD and I haul my horses that would be a nice option

There was an outfit at Rudy's this year showcasing thier Allison kit for a 6.7. I didn't get any details though. I wish I knew you were in the market.

In 2018 I believe Dodge will start having the option of putting in the Allison just a heads up
