This time of year places are switching field over to. You may be getting winter blend or summer. Make sure you are comparing with fuel from the same place. And check if it's switched to summer fuel

If it's summer fuel you'll get better mileage

With the electronic things being altered the ECM, PCM, TCM all have to relearn. It can take a tank or 2 for something as simple as a sensor

Honest question. Why are you guys constantly updating your tuner? If you like a tune why update? i haven't deleted/tuned my new 6.7 yet but my 5.9 had the same tune never updated at all.

    - 1995 Dodge Ram 1500 5.9l (Sold)
    - 2003 Dodge Ram 5.9 Cummins 75k miles (R.I.P gone but not forgotten)
    - 2014 Ram 2500 Tradesman 95k miles work truck about to be deleted for the first time

Tuners/programmers are simply computers. With any computer there's bugs along the way that either the user or designer finds. Updates corrects those

Sometimes updates do end up causing unforseen issues requiring further correction and updates to be done

Do you need to? Not necessarily no. Is it important yes it can be very

I'm confused. How much increase are you actually looking for ?
And have you considered younown a 9,000 plus pound truck that engine has to move ?
With the heavier engines, even with the new electronics, you can only get so much, empty and pulling.
The older models get more, but the have less weight to content with.
