Not all are like that tho! Not lashing out at ya, just standing up for my fellow Big Rig Drivers.

Fortunately, I’m blessed to live in the beautiful Columbia River Gorge, there’s plenty of driving gigs around here that still get you home every day by 3-5 pm, but you really gotta work for them though.

I drove Log Trucks for 6-7 years, then came to the conclusion that I was ’bored’ with it. (Still not quite sure how I would possibly get bored with one of the most deadly driving jobs on the planet, but I did) then had to find an even nuttier job and found that in the form of becoming a Super Load driver, (weights from 80,000 lbs. all the way up to 200,000 lbs.)

Depending on what I was moving my truck & trailer combination would be anywhere from 7 to 18 axles on the ground, currently, I work at a rock-pit, driving truck and operating an 800 Class Excavator (yes I did say 800!) at the mine. I personally had to haul that excavator to the site. I was only able to run a seven axle set up (4 truck, 3 on a 53’ lowboy) as its up in the sticks where multiple trailers/axles can’t go, it took me individual loads to move that one machine. Moral of the story, I have spent a large part of my life driving truck. Not once, have I ever Peed in a bottle or **** in a bag.

Random trucks & jobs I’ve driven and done.

Now, I didn’t say anything about the fact that driving truck makes ya a Lil nutty now and then! ?? Hence this dummy! (Me)

What kind of equipment? Prior to getting licensed and certs, I was working in the oil drilling fields in WY.

Being around all that and watching those monster derricks come rolling in is what actually got me started in this profession.

I’m a dang proud man to have achieved what I’ve done for everyday people to be able to keep up their lives.

    Goldhoffer trailers.

We do a lot of super heavy for the petrochemical industry.

I don’t do much of that anymore.

Today I’m a crane operator mostly in plants.
