Heads up to you 16-17 C&C guys (inferior valve seat materials)

It looks as though Cummins may have stiffed you guys on your valve train. After talking to a few contacts at our local dealer and talking to some of the guys in this industry, it appears that the C&C valve train used inferior materials for the valve seats in 16-17 RAMs causing some valves to be dropped in some unfortunate cases even in 100% stock trucks. If this happens to you there is a fairly easy fix of dropping a pickup head back onto the C&C block and this seems to be fixing the issue. I hope this helps someone out.

Ok confirming by part numbers today the switch actually happened in 2013 so all 13-17 C&C have this issue with valve seat material.

    I have a 13 C&C that just done this with 140,000 miles.

I pulled it down this weekend.
