Currently in my county there is no emission testing but you never know if that will change. So I would have to keep everything in case I needed to put it back. Anybody have to put all the stuff back on for testing? How
    big of PITA is that?
I only removed the DPF and NOx from the exhaust and replaced them with a delete pipe. Everything that came off the truck is in the shop in case I need to put it back on for some reason. I left the EGR installed and just let the tuner disable it. I expect it should take me about 2 hours to get back to stock if needed.

To OP, to fully delete parts, and replace with caps/straight pipes/ it will run about $450-500 for low end. Plus whatever the tuner costs.

I did my truck just after its first oil change and have been a happy camper since. Since I left the EGR intact (disabled by the tuner) I was able to do the exhaust work in my driveway with basic hand tools and some PB Blaster. Probably took 2-3 hours by myself. Totally worth it!

Does the tuner disable the EGR automatically through unseen programming or do you select something on screen to shut the EGR stuff off?

    Thanks...

Is there any benefit of removing egr leaving installed and disabling it?

Deleting it cleans up the engine compartment and prevents any coolant leaking back into your intake in the event your cooler cracks.
