95' 12 Valve Cummins P7100 Pump, Whats a good tune?

So I have myself a 95' Cummins, bonestock has never been touched. The only thing done eperformance wise would be a Cold Air Intake and an MBRP 4" Inch Turbo Back Exhuast with performance muffler. Now my plans so far for the truck are one definatly buold the terrible ticking time bomb automatic, then I want to do a 3K GSK, 370cc Injectors with the correct 155* spray pattern, laser cut delivery valves, advance the timing about 17* and do the dowel pin while timing cover is off. I face one delima, to gut the AFC or cut the fuel plate to a zero slide it forward, and get an aftermarket AFC spring, shim the barrel on the AFC foot and put the flat washers on there and turn the star wheel towards the motor two clicks. my last truck had its timing advanced, cut plate to a zero slide forward and the AFC arm taken out. Just not sure what is the best route, safest route, and the route where you have the most fun!!! Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thabks!
