I hear some guys talking about using a second sd card for a back-up. What procedure would you go through for doing that? I guess I'm nervous about losing my factory tune.

I personally advise people to avoid swapping cards and avoid formatting your current one. Nothing but problems come from that.

Stick with what's in the ultra. Just copy everything off of the card to your computer into a folder. And then load your new stuff.

I'm sure this has been answered but before removing the SD card to update it-do you return you truck to "stock"? The Bullydog stuff I used to run on my 04 and my 06 models required this. Or is the stock flash stored in the unit itself, not the card? I may be misunderstanding what happens here-or I'm just so damn tired I'm not remembering the process.

Nope no need to return to stock. Just make sure the unit is powered off before you pull the card!

To be honest, not sure with the ultra. However, removing flash media from a PC without ejecting it first can cause file corruption if there was a write in progress.

Just a good habit to get into, that's all.

I finally got my update done this morning. Seems like everything is good. Gonna run down the road to check it out. BTW-the egt problem was a broken wire on the probe lead. Must've happened when I did the install and zip tied all the wires up.
