Painting chrome

So I have a 03 slt with chrome bumpers(white top cover). Personally I hate chrome, ideally I would like to buy a sport bumper but can't find once locally in good condition and don't want to pay up wards if 500 bucks to order one and have it painted. So my question is does anyone know how to get spray paint to stick to chrome? I have a couple cans of color coded spray paint(white) but not gonna waste my time if it's just gonna chip and look like trash. Please help!!

Just need to take a sander to it good and scuff it up good. Use some self etching primer then paint your color. There are good videos on YouTube about it as well

@codydell01 I hate chrome as well. All the badges are chrome and it drives me insane on my 04. I hit them and the grill with plasti dip this am. Next I think I'm gonna shoot the front and rear bumper along with the silver 2 tone stripe along the truck before I shoot bed liner on em..
