For the user RT files are 2 things. If yiu have just box tunes running and ultra, you use the RT to change the power levels on the fly, or sitting still, (don't matter). You can change duration, timing, rail pressure, and VGT on the 13-16 trucks for example. If you get warp custom tunes, there will be a main ecm file. Most people would tell ray what they would run for a tune. Say you tow a lot, you might want your ecm tune to be a good 30 or 60 hp custom tune, or if you don't tow much, you might want a good all around 120 hp tune that has nice get up and good mpg. From whatever ecm tune yoy choose, then you could order RT files that work off that ecm tune, but alter it to different hp levels, and so on. So if you have a 60 hp tow tune as your ecm tune, but one day you wanna unhook from the trailer and have a little fun, or are taking a long trip empty and what maximum fuel mileage, you simply use the RT feature to change to the 120 tune. Now RT to a professional tuner can also have another meaning. It actually stands for real time, as in real time changes. A professional tuner with this feature can actually make real time changes with the truck on a dyno. Saves the time to make changes, and fine tune things.
