Just got a tire rotation at a local shop down the street and they said my front bearings have play. Truck only has 55,000 miles. This is my first HD truck so I'm new to these but does this seem premature failure? Anyone have experience with these?

The whole wheel hub has play? Not ball joints or tie rods?

It does seem like a little premature yes. But I have seen brand new bearings be bad before. So it's quite possible that it is bad. Unfortunate because it's still so new but it is possible. I've seen it. Just make sure it isn't anything else for sure before you change the hub out.

Appears so. Had the truck at the dealer about a month ago and they lubed all the tie rods and didn't say there was any issues with them. I'm not sure about the ball joints, anyway quick way to tell?Originally Posted by Sisupower

Get tire off of ground and hands at 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock and rock -- if it moves ball joints worn.
