Here's a pic of my camper and truck while we were camping at Lake Raystown Resort campground 2 weeks ago.

I'm glad I saw this post! I will be making the trip from AK to PA to buy a fifth wheel toyhauler, and was worried and clueless, really, on what the limits of the truck were. Anyway, I have a 2010 2500 with an onboard air system hooked to a set of Firestones, so its good to know a 42' 12000lbs camper is in reach. Thanks again for the information!

Home is Tionesta, I'm not sure sure on where I will be buying it yet. I am making the trip this summer. I guess wherever the right camper is, whether it be Virginia, Ohio, etc. Anywhere but AK, that"s for sure!! Wayyy over priced..

I just bought a 17 Sierra 377FLIK Keystone RV Center in Greencastle PA. I believe I got a really good deal. I also bought a new travel trailer from Holmes rv in Batavia oh. They treated me good too. Just some helpful info for ya.

    pa cummins,

I've been pulling my 12,000 pound fifth wheel with a 2017 2500 CCSB without the air bags through the mountains of NC. The truck barely squats when hooked up to the 5er but when I load the camper down with toys, I will easily be over the ~2200 pound cargo capacity of the truck. It seems you have a similarly weighted 5er and added the air bags...

Question is, did you do anything else to beef up your cargo/hitch weight capacity? Are you still satisfied with the air bags? I see you went with the Firestone kit, what compressor did you decide? Any more details about your setup that you don't mind sharing?

    Thanks
