    Faulty oil pressure display

Hey group I'm wondering if anyone else has issues with their oil pressure display in the evic, mine sometimes shows 0 on the bar, but always reads numerically. It's been like this since I bought my truck. I asked the dealer about it when I took it in for its first service and they said they couldn't find anything wrong.

Unless they say it should be that low, which is bull, it doesn't matter, they have to make it right.
    Are they a bull $h*t dealership ?

I'd call Dodge corporate and tell them what they said and what didn't do.

I would think they should fix it. Maybe it's a change in format for 16s? As long as the numerical reads and fluctuates with rpm I think you'd be ok.

47 at 1400 is plenty. Especially hot. That's 4 PSI per 100. Rule used to be 3

I can see the 47* when hot, but the bar to the right is there to inform you of the range and should show a reading no matter what. Something is indicating there is an issue. And as he said, sometimes showing a reading on the bar, and sometimes not.

In the attached picture, it looks like there is no reading on the right yet with 47psi indicated. Are you saying this is right ?

Yeah Jim, I am. From a programming perspective, the digital readout is a no brainer. You're taking an analog signal and doing a straight conversion to digital, hence the display. It's all 0 - 5 VDC from the sensor. In a more precision app, they would use a 4 to 20 Ma signal. But since this isn't the space shuttle. . . . The side bar requires more programming. I don't think that's the problem though. Since the side bar comes and goes, there may be a minor solder issue on the PCB.

Now that I just dazzled you with brilliance. . . .Let me baffle you the brown stuff.

Ok, I understand what your saying, but please explain something to me. When you stated:

Then are you saying something is wrong and the dealership should fix this since he has a 2016 Tradesman ?
And if this is so, then by the findings from the dealership he stated, to me, shows their idiots and need to fix his truck.

    (Sorry, but I don't care for ... dealerships )
