    Unhappy Raceme Ultra

Most of you know what is is already
My take so far since getting it.

    Updated to most recent.
Far more complex than other devices I've used with no instructions. Anyone that's never used a chip, programmer or tuner would be lost with all the pieces

Updating is a bit consuming. Not as simple/straightforward as others

Seems to be a nice unit
I can't say anything about performance gains etc.... Since I'm sitting waiting for tech help

Immediately after installing I got a DTC for an O2 sensor. Which I've never had before. Went back to the stock file as suggested. Reprogrammed again with a mild tune default settings
No DTC for approximately 3 seconds then it was on.
Reprogrammed a 3rd time with box tune. Same thing

I'm unable to go to stock since I was already deleted. In stock form it shows 2 DTC's.
    Never had any prior

Programmed PO137 and can not clear

My truck is parked. While I need to be using it

If tech helps very soon and it's gone and I can use my truck. It may be ok. Otherwise I'm not very pleased with the purchase right now

OK just checking, but if that doesn't work Double R Diesel is the number one tuner for RaceME.

    Email Ray at info@doublerdiesel.com.

Don't know enough about the third gen anymore to help much. In stock form I'm sure you will see codes that were not there before cuz you removed parts and unplugged things. The o2 code with programming I'm not sure. If the truck runs ok, I'd drive it myself, and clear codes every once in awhile. I know on my smarty tuned 2008 it was quite common to have a few codes after programming that would eventually clear. I don't know if this is still the case or not, but that's what I'd do.

2015 Black Laramie CCSB 3500 SRW. Thuren Leveled With Fox 2.0 Shocks. Ride Rite Rear Air Bags With Wireless Airlift Onboard Air. 35" Toyos. All The Options Minus The Soot Cookers. RaceMe Ultra.

Different year model trucks have different quirks to deal with. I have discovered that with some year models that the O2 sensor circuits are not killed with the tuning. Truck runs fine this way if there are not short circuits. I have seen a few trucks with damaged or corroded O2 sensor plugs cause the code to pop up and others along with it. My advice is check all the loose connections under the truck to make sure there no is short circuiting going on.

Sensors and plugs were all ok. I just yanked the connector to the Bosch box on the frame rail to totally kill everything. That did the job so far

Tyler up at CA was really helpful. It was easier doing that than cutting the harness

I'll see how things go now that I can catch up on errands I'm behind on

I'll be in touch with you about custom stuff Ray

Ya those things are junk anyway. Might have been the problem itself. Either way unhooked kills the power to the sensors so no worries. Now just run it with mild tune for a little bit then figure out what's best for me
When custom is available for 09 from you I'll be knocking on your door
