Raceme Ultra background pic change

Ok I need some help from the ones that have figured this out as I am struggling with it. I have my pic sized to the same exact size as the checkered flag pic (480 x 272) I have saved it named " h_bkg " I have it saved as a .BMP file and have it saved in the Config folder on the SD card. I have the raceME Ultra with Update 2017-06-27 running. I can get the other few config folder provided backgrounds to work but not my custom one. one note that I noticed is that all the 4 stock backgrounds are at about 383kb and mine is only 116kb I have deleted the original h_bkg file just like I would delete any file just saved it somewhere on my comp hard drive then in the sd card right clicked and hit delete, then saved the custom pic in the same SD card Config folder. I'm stumped other than the File size being off a few hundred KB everything else looks the same. attached is the original JPG file I am working with. thanks in advance for your help
