    Shim Kit Or Rail Plug For 2016 RAM Cummins

    So, I think I'm getting some fuel rail pressure spike with my current Warp tuning.

    Every once in a while, on a WOT pull, the truck will fall on its face.

    I think the pressure relief valve is the cause.

    What Shim Kit/Rail Plug kit should I be looking at to fix this?

    Had same problem on my 2010. They say that once that valve pops, it will pop easier and easier every time. I bought a plug from H&S At the time I believe. Pulled intake horn, used 18mm wrench, pulled valve, installed plug. Problem solved.

    Make sure your not breaking traction too. If you get any wheel spin without disabling the traction control, she'll defuel hard.

    I sure hope not as its happening between 90-100mph. On a closed course where I'm only endangering myself.

    I've got it set at 150mph. It'll fall on its face. I let out of it. Hard shift, and keep pulling. Same type deal I was getting with the 60hp box tuning. Really weird deal.

    When I get chance I'll look into it more. I bet its a limiter of some sort. It should not be reaching a point to pop the relief valve on the rail. The tune is set to 1900 bar max or roughly 27500 psi of max rail pressure. If it was truly too much rail pressure, it would pop the relief valve as soon as you hit the the throttle.

    If the relief pops, you'll know it. My truck would fall on its face and puke black smoke. First few times I couldnt get it to throw a code. Finally when it popped again, and fell on its face, I kept my foot in it long enough it finally gave me a p0087. Low rail psi.

    I know this is an old post, but I was having a similar issue in 2015, except mine dumps a ton of white smoke when it falls on its face.

    It mainly happens to go from a dead stop or slow roll to like half throttle and generally only happens before the truck is up to temp.

    Like when I jump in and leave work, but it never happens at highway speeds or after it's been running for 30+ minutes.

    My fuel mileage also dropped drastically at the same time this issue started.

    Any ideas?

    I forgot to include mods: deleted with a 2nd Gen swap SX369 GDP tuning on EZ Lynk.
