    RaceME Ultra Blue Smoke Issues?

My truck let's out a puff when it's sat for 8+ hrs is this normal even if it's 70 degrees out? I had the egr servo un plugged but I plugged it back in to see if there's a difference cause I never noticed it do this before when I first deleted and everything was hooked up for a couple weeks

Same goes for the exhaust pressure sensor. I then have to get really crafty with Warp in order to make the truck run right again. This has been the biggest hurdle I have encountered with the 13-16 trucks with Warp.

If you try to run normal temp rail pressure mapping when the engine is cold, she will rattle hard when you accelerate. I've done it myself, doesn't hurt a thing, but would freak most guys out.

    Good day for a resurrection.

Has the issue of blue smoke and running rough cold been solved?

I have a G56 2014 (RaceME canned tunes deleted new injectors) that starts perfectly clean cold even around freezing temps, then after a minute or so, starts puffing blue and running rough.

Restarting after at normal operating coolant temps does not blue smoke.

It also rattles pretty badly above 15k rail pressure.

    Can this be tuned out?

Trying to sell the pickup, and no one likes the smoke issue.

Re: RaceME Ultra Blue Smoke Issues?

Yesterday I dug out the exhaust back pressure sensor and the EGR exhaust gas temp sensor and plugged them in.

They are dangling but plugged in.

This morning's cold start was encouraging.

After a minute of idling, when the "blue smoke tune" kicked in, I was pleasantly surprised; the blue smoke and stutter were barely noticeable.

After two or three minutes, when the higher 1000rpm idle kicked on, there was noticeable blue smoke and a noticeable stutter.

I could personally live with it if I had to, as it didn't look like a pile of leaves burning anymore.

Going down the road, there was a slight stubble after shifting into third.

I envisioned the ECM trying to figure out what to do with the feedback from those sensors; it could be wrong, haha.

Down the road, a few miles, there was a 4th to 5th stubble/stutter that was the last.

Coolant temps were 165-170 by then.

The injector rattle was dramatically quieter but still rattled like lousy tuning.

On the way home, I was no longer getting a drop in rail pressure while driving it like a rental.

I intended to install a lift pump today but ran into a few significant snags that were blessings.

I'll update you again tomorrow afternoon once I drive a bit more.

    Nothing extraordinary to update today.

Decide to set the EGR motors on the engine and plug them in before this morning's cold start.

It ran like trash shut down, and unplugged the motors.

    Restarted and ran the same.

    Did not drive.

Too busy to play with it.

Yesterday it ran better; that was nice, haha.

Wonder if tuning can fix this.

Do you have a functioning grid heater?

I can hear it click off when the light goes out and see it drawing down voltage.

Also, the engine's sound changes as it cycles on and off. (That said, I did not think to listen to it today and can't recall what the volts were doing.)

I did have a loose wire on the relay a while back, but that threw a CEL.

Very annoying now that I'm trying to sell it.

We drove it for 10k miles and deleted it the way it is now.

Buyers are more concerned, and rightly so; I would be too, haha.

It may be worth checking the grid heater current draw (approximately 220 amps) with a clamp-on DC ammeter or seeing if you still have the voltage drop.

If you don't have any mechanical or electrical issues, a good custom tune should eliminate the problems you are seeing.

The box tuning leaves much to be desired, and custom tuning is the only way to use the RaceME Ultra.
