    Was curious about hp tuner

Ok gents now im new to the diesel performance and i was curious of anyone has used hp tuner.i have read up on it and apparently you can really tweak you truck and get some awesome tunes.i have only seen it for 3rd gens right now and they say its just as good as efi live. Considering my truck is one of the years not supported by efi live (2005) i would really like to hear more about it. I would also like to ask how and where do you go to learn how to tune or atleast get a better understanding of tuning? I am very new and really want to get a better understanding . I know i wont obviously be ready to tune my own truck but i have heard great thing about hp tuners and would like your guys opinions. Thanks in advance gents

Hp tuners and efi live have been comparable for years with gas vehicles. Was more of which platform you liked better and both had little things the other didn't. But with software like that it's really easy to mess up stuff if you don't know what's going on. I have not looked at there site in a while to see what they offer but of they are anything like they used to be it will be too notch software for those that understand how to use it

Thanks for your reply the only reason i cant do efi live is because my truck isnt supported by it which sucks but is what it is and i know you can get some massive power out of hp tuner .i just dont know of anyone that uses it much beside Lavon Miller i believe tunes his truck with it

UDC is the user customization tuning for smarty. works even where EFI doesnt. @Polaraco has it on his 03. I have our tuner vendors all mixed up so I forget what one to tag as our UDC specialist.
