I'm proud to say a member of my family has fought or served during every single battle for this country, even prior to us being an official country; though I'm sad to say I may be the last. There is still hope my 4 year old may decide to go military. My oldest broke his leg a few weeks before he was supposed to report to Paris Island, and lost interest and became a welder. Thanks to all that have served and continue to serve. I chose to continue serving in civi's about 12 years ago, I still work hand in hand with joint military members on a daily basis.
Just remember some gave all to protect our right to mumble and moan on a daily basis!
Isn't it funny that when someone or some country in this world might do something against this country, like 9/11, all the men and women stood up and said .. Bull ****, We Won't Take This .. joined and then kicked ***. Sort of like from the war that kicked the king out ... until now ... the people in this country don't like to be walked on.
Thank God ... he gave this country has a spine !

You realize that applies to you too you old coot. Seems us Namers are passig earlier than the WWII vets. I guess they didn't get GI issue orange juice. Fortunately, I had limited exposure to it. I just delivered the stuff. Had I known, there would have been an awful lot of tank leaks

I'm very proud to stand amoung them. And I Thank God we have those that have walked our paths since. For they keep the safety and freedom for those who live in this great country.
As for those passing are on an increasing. It's a fact. Found out last week my medic just passed. My platoon is shrinking fast. Of all that came home, were less than half still alive. Our yearly get together is shrinking.
