    True I always wondered myself.

Not only that never thought how the other campers would create heat due too the walls and was pretty much like a oven.

The Airstream in 100 degree heat reflects most of the suns heat and with 2 A/C units rolling you can hang meat in there it gets so cold they have great insulation.

My walls on my old box would be hot too the touch at the beach full sun and two ac units could not keep up.

This one is cool to the touch in summer.

    Aluminum is a crazy thing.

Just pulled the trigger on a Gen Y goose box and B and W turnover gooseneck hitch to replace my B and W companion 5th wheel hitch and morryde 5th wheel pin box.

Now just have to wait until the weather warms up.

ALMOST bought a 5th wheel trailer the other day.

It's set up to haul toys on.. couldn't justify a 25'+ trailer for a 2000lb sxs LOL.

It's a bummer because the price was pretty darn good at $3500.

    Red face Re: Gear selection

I’m running stock 3.42 gears and was looking at purchasing a toy hauler. 33’ about 9k lbs dry.

Question: should I go to 4.10 or 4.30 gears?

    4.56 seem to tall.

I live in the west with a mix of flat and steep grades.

    Thanks!

My guess would be 4.10 I am running stock tire size on my 3500 Aisin dually with 3.73 ratio pulling right around 1,600lbs no issues or problems.

Hopefully some of the 68RFE guys will chime in.

I have 3.73 with 68RFE and tow our 13k-16k toy hauler with no issues.

I am around New Orleans but do hit some grades while traveling.

Nothing like you may see on regular basis though.
